John Rausch began his long association with Helena theatre in 1982 as a Carroll College freshman. He graduated from Carroll with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theatre Arts. He continued his education at Tulane University earning a Master of Fine Arts in theatre direction. Helena audiences have enjoyed John's performances on the stages of Grandstreet Theatre, The Helena Theatre Company (at The Myrna Loy), and Carroll College Theatre.
In 1994 John, as artistic director, assembled an ensemble of young theatre talent from Montana and Wyoming to resurrect the Ft. Peck Summer Theatre for it's 25th- anniversary season. Because of John's efforts , along with the Ft. Peck Fine Arts Council, the Ft. Peck Summer Theatre is again a thriving performing arts venue and celebrated its 50th anniversary season in 2019.
John is the owner of Fire Tower Realty in Helena with over twenty years as a property manager and Realtor. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Helena Association of Realtors and has served as a volunteer committee member at the state and local level. He holds the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation.
